There are thousands of window suppliers and not all of them have Energy Star certification.Often you can see Energy Star logo on dealer business card or markenting materials like brochure or web-site but it does not mean that product they carry is Energy Star qualified. Always make sure that you see representing company name on Energy Star label. As, it is not easy for you as a consumer to tell which product is best for you.
Industry professionals will tell you that although many windows look the same, they allways have totally different performance and energy saving ratings. It is suspicious when a contractor or dealer show you window samples without Energy Star label on it. They often show you specifications that apply to a product line that has an Energy Star qualification, while supplying you with a totally different product ll together. |
